Medical Services (GPs)
We have 4 regular GPs consultants at Utopia and one GP registrar. We have male and female GPs. We prefer you make an appointment to see one of us. If you require an urgent appointment please contact reception and they will try and fit you in either with a doctor or with a nurse.

Please note, all non-refugees are charged a private consultation fee.

General Practice services include:

Newly arrived refugee health assessments

Catch-up vaccinations

Medical documentation to support NDIS and disability pension applications

Chronic disease management
-
Management of refugee health issues such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV management, latent tuberculosis and post-traumatic stress disorder

Women's health, mental health and child health consultations

Medical termination of pregnancy

Services users need to meet one of of the following eligibility criteria for bulk-billed services:

Individuals, who self-identify as refugees, with a Medicare care

Asylum seekers who are able to provide visa documentation
-
Partners and children of the above

Note: for most patients, one consult per year will attract a private fee.
